Fred's Lesson - defining our good.

Today we had a quick lesson to help further our understanding of our good. It became apparent quickly that many of us where STILL too broad with our idea of what is good. This was tackled with various questions to try get us thinking laterally. The questions started quite easily then carried on getting more thought provoking.

We created a idea enervation sheet to help us put our ideas down.

Defining the Questions:

What Makes it Good?
Taking the car allows you to have more freedom and the choice to go anywhere
being able to travel wherever whenever is a really good feeling not being restricted to set routes or distances can help you relax knowing theres a something you can do which no one can directly tell you what to do, if you want to go somewhere you can.

Who would find it good?
Car Enthusiasts
People who already adore car culture and everything car would back this up perfectly and as most enthusiasts would probably say that a car isn't just for an A-B job its about an extension of yourself I'm sure they would find this good.

Who wouldn't find it good?
Public Transport workers/drivers
This was a bit of a no brainer for me the obvious hatred would come from the workers who rely on others using there service to keep them happily employed. Still this doesn't mean some of them wouldn't agree with what I'm saying.

What is it better than?
Being stuck behind a bus which is taking forever to move.
This is really annoying and adds congestion to so many roads. The bus drivers who take the actual and wait for ages down busy roads just creates tension and anger.. if everyone drove there wouldn't mick be this problem as the flow of traffic would be consistent.

If your good was a profession what would it be?
Road surfacer
This was a bit of fun at first but thinking about it, with everyone using the roads the fact that almost every single road is riddled with bumps and pot holes this would defiantly want to be changed. however thinking about it i suppose since its stealing people from one business and putting them into another a headhunter would be a better choice.

If your good was a celebrity what would it be?
Jeremy Clarkson
He loves cars and car culture more than lot of people, hates public transport and is generally a decent bloke.

If your good was a place what would it be?
Germany - Nurburg Ring
This to me would be perfect as its one of the most famous driving rings in the world. Driving around this track would defiantly convince a lot of people that driving is better for sure.

If your good was a event what would it be?
Grand Prix
Choosing this was quite rushed i don't think i will stick with it. I feel its a bit too aimed towards racing than just enjoying driving i know a lot of people who adore driving but hate the likes of F1. I will have to rethink this and amend my choice later.

If your good was a product what would it be?
Sports Car
This had to be the product. Anyone owning a beautiful sports car would want to drive it and show it off everyday.

The above show my answers tot he questions before I've had time to revisit. We were told to revisit the questions and add our reasoning.
